African traditional religions are growing and booming fast.  This phenomena is occurring worldwide and the system of African religions is based on three main forms:

1.  Mind/personal power religions like Vadu and Orisha.

2.  Ancestor Worship/Veneration.

3. Ifa/ Scientific mind power religion

4.  Naturism (based on recognition of nature, the sun)

All four of these categories are many times intertwined in the whole system.

African religions have a basic belief and system of beliefs that EMPHASIZES THE POWER OF THE GODHEAD WITHIN HUMANS, and not waiting for the HEREAFTER, or hoping one’s SINS ARE FORGIVEN.

The belief in DOING WHAT IS RIGHT IN THE HERE-AND-NOW, garantees one’s reincarnation in one’s family to live again as a uch better person than the previous life.  HENCE, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR AFRICANS TO HAVE AS MANY CHILDREN AS THEY CAN, IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE THEIR SOULS AND SPIRITS REINCARNATE INTO THE NEXT GENERATION.

Black African-American and African-Americas values come from strong cultural and religious values enrooted in African culture and traditions.

These values have helped to create a strong African-America and strong America in general.  It was and is the African way of seeing humans as an extension of the Godhead (as in Voodoo and Orisha religions) that have helped to bring most Americans (including European descent) from that of feeling like ‘peasants’ and slaves of the very powerful (slave owners, plantation owners, those who bought or used European surf labor), to being taught about human freedom and spiritual abilities by Africans.  This idea also goes for women as well, who have learned the custom of being family-strong from African and African-American culture.

Black America is a Homogeneous population and racial group in the United States.  About 86 percent of Black African-Americans are ‘pure Negro’ and darkbrown to black complections, with kinky hair and Africoid/Negroid facial features.

In fact, Only about 2 percent of Blacks are directly mixed with a parent of another race.  About 10 - 12 percent of Blacks are lightskinned, BUT AFRICAN/NEGROID FEATURES ARE STILL DOMINANT, INCLUDING HAIR AND FACIAL FEATURES.

Yet, over the years, some have BEEN MISLED TO THINK THEY ARE SOME ‘MULTIRACIAL’ or ‘MIXED’ GROUP, who suddenly appeared on the scene.  A proposition that was attempted to TRICK CALIFORNIANS INTO MIS-LABELING THEMSELVES was tried by one man and his supporters.  However, the people of California rejected this idea BECAUSE ONE OF CALIFORNIA’S GREAT GIFTS IS ITS PEOPLE AND THE RIGHT FOR THEM TO LOVE WHO THEY ARE AND TO PRESERVE THEIR IDENTITIES WITHOUT BEING FOOLED TO BELIEVE THEY ARE NOT WHO THEY ARE.

This scheme of ‘blending’ has led to cultural and ethnic genocide in many places, AND BLACKS ARE MANY TIMES THE VICTIMS. 

This essay examines this issue and why THE VAST MAJORITY OF BLACKS REJECT ANY ATTEMPT AT ‘BLENDING’  a practiice used to create ‘lightskinned’ slaves who were sold at a high value to work in the slavemasters ‘bighouse,’ because they were lighter and seemed to be more ‘acceptable’ to the slavery system, AND WERE USED AS A WEDGE AND BUFFER THAT HELPED TO MAINTAIN THE SYSTEM OF OPPRESSION.

The population of AFRO-LATINOS IN THE AMERICAS IS ABOUT 200,000,000 (two hundred million), and that includes Afro-Brazilians.  The population of other African-Descendents of the Americas (African-American, Caribbean, non-Spanish) are about
100,000,000 (one hundred million). 

However, despite the large numbers of Blacks who speak Spanish and Portugese, TO THIS VERY DAY, THESE ARE AMONG THE MOST OPPRESSED BLACK PEOPLE ON EARTH (AFTER INDIA, WEST PAPUA, AUSTRALIA).

A great light at the end of the tunnel is occurring BECAUSE DESPITE THEIR OPPRESSION, MUCH OF THE AFRICAN CULTURE, SPIRITUALISM (WHICH INCLUDES THE RELIGION CREATED FOR SELF-DEFENSE - VADU/ORISHA - EXISTS IN AFRICAN-LATIN AMERICA).

The term ‘Latin’ or ‘Hispanic,’ is a misnomer for Blacks and American Indians in Latin/Spanish-speaking Americas, BECAUSE BOTH GROUPS ARE BITTERLY OPPRESSED BY THE SPANISH/MESTIZO-WHITE CLASSES.

Hence, over the years, groups like the O.A.A. (Organization of Africans in the Americas see http://www.afrocubaweb.com ) have worked to UNITE AND TO HELP UPLIFT ALL 300,000,000 BLACKS IN THE AMERICAS FROM CANADA TO ARGENTINA.

This includes and included the DROPPING OF THE TERM ‘LATIN’ AND ‘HISPANIC’ BY MOST AFRICAN-DESCENT/BLACK PEOPLE IN THE ‘LATIN’ COLONIZED NATIONS.  Today, terms like Afro-Cuban, Afro-Dominican, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-PuertoRiccan is used.  The General term ‘Mandinga-Congo’ or African-Descendentes is also used.

About 10,000,000 (ten million) of the Latin population in the US is composed of people of African descent whose origins are in nations like Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and others.  That number includes all people who look or classify as ‘Mulatto,’ because genetically, these groups are NEGRO/AFRICAN DOMINANT TO A GREAT DEGREE.

THE UNITY OF AFRICANS AND  AFRICAN-AMERICAS IS OCCURRING DUE TO THE NEED TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF ALL THE PEOPLE.

WHO INVENTED RACISM?  It may be a shock to some, but it was not invented during the slavery period, nor during the Roman/Greek period.  This essay brings to the forefront who invented raciam and why it still exists today in that particular region.
